This building, called « House of the Science of Man », was built in the early 60s by the Architects Lods, Depondt and Beauclair. Manifesto of the metal architecture during the sixties and the seventies, it has several innovative achievements : preloaded steel structure, connected concrete floors, curtain wall facade with external movable flaps, air treatment and modular spaces. After cleaning, asbestos removal and refurbishment with Heritage Services, the buildings will attend spaces for social sciences and humanities researchers, classrooms and training rooms for students, an auditorium, a library, a cafeteria and a restaurant.
